Spa House with a Walking Hall in Świeradów-Zdrój
The building, built in 1899, was designed by a well-known architect named Grosser. The Spa House in Świeradów-Zdrój is divided into two buildings, which are connected by the longest larch Walking Hall in Lower Silesia with a length of 80 m, where there is a source of drinking water. There are terraces next to the building and the "Artificial Grotto", which once housed a mineral water pump room, it is also the starting point of the Main Sudetes Trail. M. Orłowicz. In the basement of the Spa House there is the Spa Museum (Museum of Spa Mining), which was established on the occasion of the 260th anniversary of the casing of the first springs of mineral waters in Świeradów.
The Spa House is the most interesting architectural monument in Świeradów-Zdrój, built in 1899 according to a design by architect Grosser on the foundations of the earlier Spring House from 1781. It consists of two parts connected by the 80-meter-long Promenade Hall, the longest of its kind in Lower Silesia.
The Promenade Hall in Świeradów is the longest structure of its kind made of larch wood in Lower Silesia—it is 80 meters long. Inside, there are beautiful floral polychromes, stained-glass windows, and the Schaffgotsch family coat of arms above the stage. It is one of the main attractions of the spa town.
The Walking Hall is open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The mineral water pump room is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The observation tower is accessible from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (entry once per hour).
Yes, the Spa Museum (also known as the Museum of Spa Mining) is located in the basement of the historic Spa House. It opened in September 2014 to mark the 260th anniversary of the discovery of the first mineral springs in Świeradów.
Yes, there is a mineral water pump room (radon-iron springs) located at the main entrance to the Promenade Hall, which is open to spa guests and tourists. The pump room is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
